初の海外での新年！ということでオーストラリアのニューイヤーといえばシドニーですが、
今回はメルボルンで新年を迎えました。

I heard a new year celebration at Federation square is the biggest and most crowded in Melbourne.
Since its such a rare chance, I decided to go to Federation square worrying about too much crowd.

メルボルンのニューイヤーイベントは、
フェデレーションスクウェアのものが一番大きくて人が多いという話を聞き、
せっかくなら一番大きいところに行こう！と人ゴミを心配しつつフェデレーションスクウェアへ行くことにしました！！

I went to Federation square at 8 pm with Xavier and Sakthee who are our share mate.
There were already many people and a pedestrian mall.

シェアメイトのインド人カップル、ザビアとシャクティと一緒に午後８時ごろフェデレーションスクウェアへ。
既に人が集まり始めていて、フリンダースストリートは歩行者天国になってました。

Dancers and musicians were playing on stage at Federation square’s as new year celebration.
I was interested in combination of bagpipes and electro music.
I realized Bagpipes is suit to electro.

フェデレーションスクウェアのイベントステージでは、
ニューイヤーセレブレーションとしてダンサーやミュージシャンがパフォーマンス中。
その中でも気になったのは、バグパイプとエレクトロを組み合わせた人。
バグパイプってこんなにエレクトロに合うんだなー

In the blink of an eye, the time was 1 min before new year.
We count 10 sec before with everyone.
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Happy New Year!!!
There were so many fire works from 4 buildings that surround Federation square.
waaao!
very showy!!

そんなこんなであっという間に時間は過ぎてニューイヤー１分前。
みんなで10秒前からカウントダウン！
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Happy New Year!!!の掛け声と共に花火が。
フェデレーションスクウェアを囲む４つのビルから花火があがります。
ひゅー　ハデー

New year in Australia is in summer so this has different atmosphere from Japan.
This is also nice.

オーストラリアの年末は真夏なので、
なんだか日本のカウントダウンとは違う雰囲気。
こういうのもいいですね。

Come to think of it, we already have spent 5 months in Melbourne.
It make me deeply emotive.

考えてみるとメルボルンに来て約５ヶ月。
なんだか感慨深いなぁ。

Large quantities Japanese foods and sashimi!!
ものすごい量の日本食！
しかも刺身！

I was moved because I haven’t seen these amount Japanese foods for a long time.
And I was there first time but I ate so many foods like a brazen-faced. sorry.
こんな大量の日本食を目にしたのは久しぶりで、大変感動しました（泣
しかもほとんどの方が初対面で突然押しかけて、図々しくもバクバクと食べまくってしまいました。申し訳ない。

However this restaurant foods was incredible.
I must come again.
ただこのお店の料理は本当に美味しかったので、
また個人的に行ってみたいと思います。

I am going to go Federation square to invite a new year!
ということで今からニューイヤーを迎えに、
フェデレーションスクエアに行ってきます！

前の日記に書いていたとおり、「日本文化祭」にマーケット出店として参加させてもらいました！
出店を決めたのはちょっと遅めのひと月前。
そもそもの理由は、せっかくこちらに来たのだから自分のできることで、
何かしてみよう！と思ったことがきっかけでした。

And another reason was I met Sayoko, jewelry designer in Objet, as a accident in a cafe.
I have never expected to participate with people who met an accident.
This is an encounter!!

そしてもう一つの理由が、カフェでたまたま相席になったObjetのサヨコさんと出会ったこと。
まさか、たまたま隣り合わせた縁で一緒にマーケット出店するなんて、思っても見ませんでした！
まさに巡りあわせ！！

Sayoko displayed accessories made by herself,
I displayed T-shirts and Chisato displayed scrunchies made by herself.

サヨコさんはハンドメイドのアクセサリー、
僕はＴシャツ、あとちーちゃんが手作りのシュシュを一つ出店。

Preparing shop. まだ開店前

We gathered at 8:30 am to borrow a desk from Japaneasy’s staff.
However, I prepared slowly because other people who would open their shops were not arrived yet.

ジャパニージーの担当の方から机を貸して頂くため、朝８時半に集合。
とはいえ、他のマーケット出店者の方たちはまだまだ到着していない時間だったので、
のんびりと店の準備をしていました。

Around 11:00 am, many guests come into the festival.
And very long line was made in front of our shop, because we were next to the takayaki shop.
I can’t despise takayaki.

開始時間の１１時付近になり、お客さんもちょろちょろと入ってきたなーと思っていたら、
あっと言う間にたくさんの人が。
僕達のブースはたこ焼き屋さんのとなりだったこともあり、
常に目の前にはたこ焼き行列ができていました。
たこ焼き、おそるべし。

My T-shirts shop was looked by people who likes Japanese design.
And young peoples who seemed to smart, bought my T-shirts.
I caught a peace of idea that is what kind of design is popular in here.

お店のほうは日本的なデザインが好きな人がみてくれたり、
意外？とおしゃれな若者っぽい人たちが買ってくれたりして、
こちらでどういうデザインが受けるのか、ということの一端がつかめたような気がします。

This is Sayoko’s part.
これはサヨコさんのほう。

Our shop was outside, and there were live musics and workshops in the Collingwood hall.
(however, I couldn’t check this because of my shop…)
In spite of this festival was second time, there were so many people due to staffs.

僕は屋外だったのですが、
屋内ではライブミュージックやワークショップも開催されていて、
（僕はお店の切り盛りで見れなかったですが・・・）
まだ開催２回目なのにここまで盛況なのは、スタッフさんたちのおかげでしょう。

The best thing in this festival is participated to this festival!
I could meet many people and tought trying at first was good for me.
I will do something in Melbourne more and more!!

今回は出してよかった！と心から思えたのが一番の収穫です。
たくさんの人にも知り合えたし、とりあえずやってよう！と思い切ったのが良かったんだと思います。
これからもメルボルンでガンガン活動していきます！！

今度の日曜日、１１月２７日に行われる「日本文化祭」に参加します！

In that I am going to open T-shirts shop!
I ordered at online to print T-shirts to printing company that I found in here.
And I will sell “takawo cup” official T-shits as well.

ということで僕はＴシャツショップを開きます！
自分でデザインしたのを、
こちらで見つけたＴシャツプリント会社にオンラインオーダーしました。
あとtakawo杯オフィシャルＴシャツも数枚印刷したのでこっちもお店に出す予定。

Come to think of it, this is first time for me that sell items which I made.

よく考えると自分で作ったものを店頭で売るのって初めてだ。

次の水曜日、ついにこの家から引っ越すことにしたので、
最後にお好み焼きパーティをやってみました！

Okonomiyaki is famous in here but it is said to eating in restaurant is not good.
(but I have never try)

お好み焼きはこちらでも割と有名な食べ物なのですが、
レストランなどで食べるとイマイチ・・・というのはもっぱらの噂。
（僕はたべたことありませんが）

In that we bought a okonomiyaki flour, cabbage, pork and etc in asian grocery then we made okonomiyaki!

ということでアジアングロッサリーで日清のお好み焼き粉とキャベツ、豚バラ肉などを買ってきて、
作ってみました！

It contains prown!
I want to eat again…

エビも入ってます！
また食べたくなってきた・・・・

I added okonomiyaki sauce and manyonaise,
and we got bulgogi and Cheyupokkun made by share mates!
Well, we will have to say good bye to them….

お好み焼きソースとマヨネーズも加えて、
シェアメイトのみんなが作ってくれた、プルコギとチェユポックン？も頂きました！
うう、もうみんなともお別れか・・・

I’m going to make the toggle switch that can change English and Japanese soon.

これからメルボルンのこと、オーストラリアのこと、ウェブのことなどなど、
いろいろ書いていくよー！！
ひとまずメルボルンに来てから今までの事をさかのぼって、思い出しながら書くよ！
勉強のために英語、日本語併記していくので、間違いがあったらぜひぜひ教えてください。

近いうちに、日／英切り替えボタンを設置する予定です！！
機能的には簡単なんだけどボタン作るのが時間掛かりそう・・・

メルボルンで初カラオケ！
友達のDonny、Hustonに誘われてメルボルンのカラオケに行ってきました！
と言ってもこっちでメジャーなのはコリアン式のカラオケ。
初・コリアンカラオケをメルボルンで体験！

かろうじて日本語の歌が載っている小冊子があったのでそれで乗り越えました。
（歌詞もちゃんと日本語表示されます）

And that was great atmosphere because of illuminations.
That was very showy.

あと部屋の中のイルミネーションがすごい雰囲気。
派手だなー

語学学校でいっしょになったRyanがもう帰国してしまうということで、
一緒にメルボルンを回って来ましたー！

Firstly we went Hosier Lane which suggested by Ryan.
There are so many graffiti on the walls!
I know Melbourne is famous city about graffiti.
Usually, stencils and graffities are illegal but I think it is allowed to draw a graffiti.
I saw a few young people who were tagging on other day.

最初にRyanがここ見たことある？と言って連れていってくれたのが、
フェデレーションスクエアのすぐ北にあるHosier Lane。
ここにはたくさんのグラフィティが壁中いっぱいに描かれていました！
さすがメルボルン。ステンシル、グラフィティの本場！！
グラフィティ、タギングって大概は違法なのですが、
この区域だけは許可されてるんですかね。
他の日に行ったときには昼間から堂々とグラフィティをしている若者がいました。

There are a lot of graffiti all over the place!

This restaurant is awesome include the graffiti….(It already opened)
I heard this restaurant is famous in Melbourne.

ここはグラフィティ込ですごいお店ですね・・・（営業してます）
メルボルンでは有名なお店みたいです。

Then we went St.kilda beach which was still cold.
Nobody was swam in the sea because of early Spring.
However in the Summer, there are too cloudy….

その後トラムに乗ってまだ寒いセントキルダビーチへ。春先なので泳いでる人はだれもいません。これが夏になるとこのへん一帯がものすごい混雑に・・・

And penguins are living in here!
I watched only one penguin in that time.

そしてこのセントキルダビーチには年中ペンギンが生息してます！この時はなんとか一匹見つけることが出来ました。

Then we went Botanical Gardens on the way of back to the city.
This park is so huge! we couldn’t watch all of here on this day.
This day was so great but Ryan would go back…

その後はトラムでシティに帰る途中ボタニックガーデンという植物園へ。
Ryanは帰っちゃうのですが、寂しいながらも楽しい１日旅行でした！

今日は語学学校のアクティビティで初めてのBBQ！
まだ冬でちょっと寒いけど。

What amazing we can use BBQ machine for free in a park.

なんとメルボルンには公園に無料のBBQマシーンが置いてあって、
勝手に使っていいそうなんです。

The BBQ machine is operated by electric, I have to push the button at fixed interval.
It is large-minded that allows to use for free!
By the way, BBQ in here is dynamic as I thought!!

BBQマシーンは電気式で、定期的にボタンを押さないと自動で消える仕組み。
こんなのタダで使わしてくれるなんて太っ腹！
それにしてもこちらのBBQはやっぱり豪快だなぁ。

今日はメルボルンでもっとも有名な観光地、
グレートオーシャンロードへ行ってきましたー！！

I had not known this place until came here, but I looked many times in travel agencies in Melbourne.
We can go there by moderate price, and enjoy enormous nature.

メルボルンに来るまではあまり聞いたことはなかったのですが、
こちらの旅行会社では一番よく目にする観光スポットです。
手頃な価格で日帰り旅行できて、どでかい自然を満喫できます。

The price is usualy about $75, but it is changed by agencies.
This day, I paid only $45 because my friends Ryan booked by Korean agency.
Therefore, tourist guide and other passengers are almost in Korean.lol

値段は標準では７５ドルくらいで、あとは日程や旅行会社で増減する感じでしょうか。
この日は友人のRyanが韓国系の旅行会社で取ってくれたので、
４５ドルという格安価格で行くことが出来ました。
バスガイド、他の乗客、ほとんど韓国語でしたが（笑）

Although Great ocean road, but this is not spot.
It means perhaps long long way along the sea.

グレートオーシャンロード、といってもそれ自体は特定のスポット、
というよりも、長い長い海沿いの道の事を指します。（たぶん）

So, stopping many spot and enjoying there, is today’s pattern.

なので所々でバスは停まってその場所の自然を散策する、というのが今回のパターン。

First of all, first stop is beach!
It was a little cold because of winter, but so big sea was awsome!
It will be more fun in summer.

まずは最初の停車地は砂浜！
この時はまだ冬なのでちょっと寒かったのですが、
それでもでかい海は圧巻！
夏来たら楽しいだろうなー

We found wild koala at next stop!
We saw koala in Japan at times but it was first time to see a wild koala.
Koalas are almost sleeping in a day….

次の停車地ではなんと野生のコアラが！日本でも動物園ではたまに見ますが、野生のコアラを見たのは初めてです。
コアラは１日の大半を寝て過ごしているらしいのでほとんど動かない・・・

And these colorful birds were jumping toward people who has feeds by terrific speed…
They used to people, and rode on our head….

そしてこちらは餌を持っていると猛烈な勢いで飛び掛ってくるカラフルな取り・・・ものすごく人馴れしていて、平気で頭に乗ってきます。

Finally, I arrived special-feauture place.
There are sheer cliffs and the waves are coming to there.
I was impressed by big scale like this.

そしてついに到着した今日の目玉スポット。
切り立った崖が立ち並び、そこへ波がおしよせてきているのが一望できます！
さすがオーストラリア！という感じのスケールのデカさに感動です。

Beyond the road, there is an inlet.
And there is beach in the inlet. So quiet and calm place.
It is said the model of “Porco rosso” that is an animation movie in Japan.

そしてその先にあるのがこの入り江。
入り江の中には砂浜があり、静かないい場所です。
「紅の豚」の主人公が使っていた隠れ家のモデルという噂もあるそうで。
その昔、難破したから生き残った男女二人が、この入り江にある洞窟で何日間か過ごしたという場所らしいです。

I enjoyed great Australia today!!
